As a world leading shipbuilder, our company has been
making efforts in Japan to implement technical innovations
and to increase the capacity of various kinds of ships,
particularly in the oil tanker and bulk carrier sectors.
The superiority of our technology was proven in 1962
by our completion of the 132,334 DWT crude oil tanker
Nissho Maru, the largest such vessel in the world to
that date.
Since then, we have enjoyed excellent and active business
in the construction of medium and large oil tankers
and bulk carriers, as well as a wide variety of ships
including highly efficient general cargo ships, bulk
carriers, refrigerated cargo carriers, RO-RO ships,
container carriers, LPG and LEG vessels, naval ships
for the Japanese Defense Agency, and vessels and boats
for the Japan Coast Guard.
We are now paying continuous attention to further shipbuilding
business innovations in the 21st Century. |
